No one knows where the shoe pinches, but he who wears it.

We believe in solutions created by those impacted by the problem

One empowered youth equates to one empowered community.

The Issue

Poverty, gender inequality, social injustice, climate change, and other multiple pressing local issues are interconnected across communities. They affect all communities differently but in a similarly profound way.

Our Vision

We believe in solutions created by those impacted by the problem. ICON was established on the foundation that no one knows where the shoe pinches, but he who wears it. In order to develop sustainable evidence-based local community interventions that directly address root causes and sustain local communities, the locals have to be empowered to take action by themselves.

Our Mission

One empowered youth equates to one empowered community. In a world of constantly ongoing and emerging daily local and global crises, no community should be caught unaware. We work to improve youth civic participation so that they can swiftly identify and respond to immediate arising community pressing issues.
